Easter Monday is here and after the celebration over the weekend, what difference does the resurrection of Christ make in my life today? I think Peter says it well:
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade-kept in heaven for you . .” 1 Peter 1:3-4 NIV
My hope for today and tomorrow is living not dead! Because of the resurrection of Christ I am alive and will have life eternal. With that perspective today I am not worried about tomorrow. My inheritance in Christ is secure and will never fade or change like the stock market, the uncertainty of my health, or whatever may come my way. I do rejoice in this living hope in the midst of a chaotic world. Thanks be to God through Jesus who is alive and well!
